Chef Koichiro Shimura is a celebrated chef. He took over Tempura Ono in 2006 and has since been frying tempura “from the heart.” His curated menus feature ingredients from all over Japan and are inspired by global food trends. Chef Shimura leaves nothing to chance. The ingredients served at Tempura Ono, from shrimp and mushrooms to flour and salt, are selected with only one goal in mind: to provide customers with a tempura experience they’ll remember forever.

This experience begins behind the counter. Follow Chef Shimura as he breezily walks you through tempura cooking basics, from how to hold the knife to preparing shrimp simply and swiftly. Sample freshly fried tempura before sitting at the counter, and taste more delicious tempura as Chef Shimura shares his career, cooking and life.
Chef Shimura’s enthusiasm and love for tempura is contagious. Lessons learned during this tempura cooking class are easily transferable to your home kitchen!

Remarks
Children under 12 cannot participate in the cooking experience for safety reasons but can join the omakase lunch course.
Tempura Ono is not stroller or wheelchair accessible.
Participants are asked to inform the host of any food allergies or dietary restrictions when booking. Please note that same-day requests may not be accommodated.
Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, kosher and pescetarian options can be accommodated but the host cannot accommodate halal requests.

Cancel your booking at least 1 week before the experience start time to receive a full refund minus a 3.2% transaction fee.
