Your guide will be waiting for you in front of the entrance of McDonald’s Sendai Aobadori (a 1-minute walk from the Aoba-dori Ichibancho Station on the Tozai Subway line, or a 10-minute walk from Sendai Station).

Please be reminded to wear comfortable shoes as there will be a lot of walking.

Bustling to the west of JR Sendai Station, Downtown Sendai covers the Chuo-Dori main street and intersects the lively Ichibancho area. Sendai’s Downtown is home to the longest shopping arcade in the Tohoku region, Ichibancho Shotengai. Lined with its iconic trees, this covered arcade connects through to a number of other malls, filled with high-end boutique clothing stores, local restaurants, cheap souvenir shops, and cozy bars. To the south of Aoba-dori Ichibancho Subway Station are a number of cool drinking spots, like the nostalgic alleys of Iroha Yokocho and Bunka Yokocho.
