Experience Details
Follow the path of the famous Youtuber, Strictly Dumpling, and explore the best food that Nagoya has to offer. Nagoya is famed for its Aka Miso (red soybean paste), so of course Nagoyans proudly use this regional miso paste in a variety of their local dishes. In fact, two of the three dishes on this food tour feature this delicious umami ingredient!
Have you already tried tonkatsu, the deep-fried pork cutlet with a perfectly crispy exterior? If you like tonkatsu, you’ll love Miso Katsu, the Nagoya version which is drizzled with a special miso sauce. Our first stop on this Nagoya food tour is to a restaurant serving up this classic local dish, with an incredibly tall side of cabbage.
Then, we’ll try Miso Nikomi Udon, an udon noodle dish served in a unique miso soup that’s a specialty of Nagoya. And if you think a normal serving is not enough for you, no problem, they also serve big sizes!* These udon chewy noodles are hearty and satisfying, while the broth packs a savory punch that’ll make your mouth water.
Lastly, we’ll end the tour at Nagoya's most famous izakaya. Izakaya are Japanese gastropub, where you can indulge in a variety of deep-fried snacks, skewers, and drinks. But on this tour, we’ll dig into some peppery chicken wings (or, if you have an appetite like Strictly Dumpling, how about 100?*), and wash them down with a thirst-quenching beverage.
*The regular size is provided on this tour. Please note that if you choose the large portion, you will need to pay the difference between the prices of the normal size and the large.

Experience Location
Nagoya is the capital city of Aichi Prefecture, and one of Japan’s most active port cities. The city is known as a leader in manufacturing, and has a long tradition of “monozukuri” craftsmanship, inventing pachinko among other things. After exploring Nagoya Castle, praying at Atsuta Jingu (a shrine with over 1900 years of history!), diving into the Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium, and marveling at Legoland, try the local Nagoya Meshi. Nagoya is famous for aka miso and comfort foods, the perfect fuel!
