The versatile noodle dish and crispy, filled dumplings form the perfect comfort meal – and you’ll discover what goes into cooking them to perfection in this cooking class! You’ll learn from the best – your hosts, Yuka and Hitomi, are cooking specialists and licensed nutritionists dedicated to sharing Japanese culture through food. Both studied at various culinary institutes across Japan and have traveled extensively abroad.
Your hosts use seasonal, additive-free, and locally sourced ingredients. After an introduction to the class and the recipes, they will guide you through tasting soup stock (dashi) and seasonings made locally in Aichi Prefecture, like soy sauce, miso, and mirin.
Then, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and get to work! Learn what goes into a hearty bowl of ramen noodles, how to use dashi for the broth, customize your bowl with different toppings, and work on your dumpling-folding technique using ingredients selected for their freshness and high quality.
