If you’re still hungry or thirsty, you have the option to visit a third location (an exclusive bar in Ginza) that serves small plates and alcohol
Leading this izakaya charge is Satoru, your guide. An international sake sommelier, certified English-language tour guide, Japanese food enthusiast, and accredited by the Tokyo Tsukiji Mekiki Association (meaning he knows his fish and seafood). He’ll take you to spots frequented by Japanese people seeking a bite after work and friendly locals who frequent the watering holes of Shimbashi. Once inside, Satoru will teach you about Japanese food and izakaya culture, plus he’ll recommend the perfect sake pairing for your bites.
Begin your journey at the first izakaya, where you’ll delight in classic izakaya dishes, relish seafood specialties, and complement the flavors with a selection of sake and other refreshing drinks. This izakaya is an neighborhood favorite, with all seats being filled in the blink of an eye – But luckily, your guide, Satoru, knows all the right people!
Continue the adventure at the second izakaya, where more classic izakaya fare awaits. Enjoy grilled pork skewers (yakiton), explore the nuances of shochu, and indulge in an array of carefully curated drinks. Should you find yourself still hungry or thirsty, an optional third location awaits—a hidden gem in Ginza.
