Experience a private Japanese tea ceremony with a Tea Master in Kurashiki, a charming village in Okayama. With 28 years of experience in the art of sado, your Tea Master will give you an unforgettable experience.

Soshin is as a licensed Tea Master from the Omotesenke family tradition. Committed to making the tea ceremony more accessible, she established a salon with traditional and table-type tea rooms, ensuring inclusivity. Makino personally conducts ceremonies, uniquely explaining each step verbally, offering an engaging and immersive experience.


Embark on a private Japanese tea ceremony and matcha-making journey in the enchanting city of Kurashiki, Okayama. Ease into the experience as you relax in a tranquil waiting room, where you’ll look on as the tea ceremony tools are being prepared. Makino will guide you through each step, explaining the history and cultural nuances that define this ancient practice. Take in the graceful movements and deliberate gestures that make the tea ceremony a truly captivating experience.


Savor the moment with a cup of freshly whisked matcha tea, paired harmoniously with seasonal Japanese sweets known as wagashi. Following this, shift from observer to active participant as you receive hands-on guidance from your teacher in making matcha.
