Born and raised in Kyoto, Rie was working in a bank when she discovered the tea room as the ultimate relaxation spot. Now she's an expert in the art of the Japanese tea ceremony! Rie holds the title of 2nd Degree Instructor at Urasenke (1 of 3 leading Japanese tea ceremony schools). In 2015, she founded her own tea ceremony experience business to share the authentic beauty of her culture with everyone, including visitors like you!
During your experience, you’ll start by savoring organic matcha tea from Uji (Kyoto), thoughtfully brewed by Rie. Then you can try making tea, a hands-on and immersive experience!
