Expand your culinary skills with a sushi-making class taught by a professional sushi chef in Akihabara, home to technological marvels and countless manga, anime, and gaming shops. This comprehensive class will teach you everything you need to know to make authentic, high-quality sushi, including proper cutting techniques for various types of seafood and tips on how to mold sushi rice.
After a warm introduction by your instructor, you’ll change into a white apron and hat, the classic sushi chef’s attire. Then, you’ll listen to a lecture on making sushi and learn to prepare shari (vinegared sushi rice). Depending on the type of seafood, you’ll use different cutting techniques taught by your instructor to deftly slice and chop to perfection. Once you’ve shaped the sushi rice and placed the seafood on top, it’s time to take photos of your hard work and enjoy your fresh sushi with miso soup. As a testament to your diligence and enthusiasm, you’ll receive a certificate of completion from the instructor.
