You'll visit two distinct neighborhoods, learn insights on the old capital's long-standing ramen culture, and slurp away at two delectable mini bowls — a classic Kyoto ramen and a more modern kind — to find your new favorite.
This lively introduction to Japan's most famous noodle dish takes place in the morning when you can enjoy a more leisurely atmosphere with fewer crowds. Meet your guide at a cafe near Kyoto Station, where you’ll receive an introduction to the area’s ramen culture and learn details about the history of Kyoto ramen and its cultural significance to locals to this day before visiting your first ramen stop.
