Tomura
Tomura serves timeless Kyoto-style food in the heart of Tokyo.
Restaurant Details
The sleepy temple-lined streets of Arashiyama, Kyoto are a world away from the hustle and bustle of central Tokyo. Thankfully, some of the class and peacefulness of that place is brought to Tokyo through Tomura, a restaurant specializing in the cuisine of Kyoto.
The chef trained for ten years at Kitcho Arashiyama, which holds three Michelin stars. His experience there gave him an appreciation for high-level ingredients, which is the reason his own establishment has an unrivaled reputation for procuring the best produce which Japan has to offer.
These ingredients are transformed into delicious dishes such as arrowroot soup, deep-fried fugu pufferfish, and lotus root jelly with baked soybean powder.
Six counter seats are available, with several private rooms for larger groups. Be careful to reserve well in advance — at least a month — to ensure you get a spot.
