Tofu no Futaba
A tofu shop with over a century of history, with a restaurant attached serving up their delicious product in great-value set meals.
Restaurant Details
This tofu business has incredibly been running since 1890! They opened up this location in 1948, and have been a local favorite ever since. Their longevity can be put down to their unwavering commitment to freshness.
Their tofu is all made by hand that very same day. You can either buy them packaged from the store downstairs, or head up to the restaurant level to enjoy their tofu incorporated into delicious dishes. This means dishes like silken tofu, blocks of tofu fried in a spicy sauce, and tofu skin wrapped around rice balls and vegetables.
The restaurant only takes lunch reservations for guests looking to try the full kaiseki course menu, limited to six bookings a day. Lunchtime guests looking to try the regular lunch set menu will have to try their luck walking in.
Dinner reservations, however, are available from 5pm onwards. Several different evening set menus offer opportunities for guests to try Tofu no Futaba's specialty in a number of different forms.
