Take yakiniku grilled beef to new heights with premium beef and well-crafted sauces.

Restaurant Details

Although yakiniku grilled beef is a relatively new fixture in Japanese cuisine, having been introduced to the country by Korean immigrants in the mid 20th century, it’s now an indispensable and iconic part of the food culture here.

Tamura is one of the best restaurants for a taste of this popular dining style in Fukuoka. Using only premium Saga wagyu beef, they grill up classic yakiniku dishes, such as salted oxtail and vegetable-wrapped loin, with a focus on customization — from the timing of the dishes right down to the levels of flavors in the condiments and spices added to your meat.

While top French restaurateurs pair their dishes with fine wines, the art of yakiniku is in pairing the dishes with sauces, of which Tamara has dozens of house-made varieties to match every cut of meat imaginable.
