Restaurant Details
Artisan craftsmanship is key to so much of Japanese culture, not least the culinary arts. Hence the name, Takumi, meaning “artisan.” No ordinary French restaurant, Takumi serves authentic course menus full of pleasant surprises and discovery.
Since he specialized in French cuisine, Chef Otsuki Takumi has enjoyed a great edge over the rest of his competitors when producing authentic French flavors. His take on seasonal ingredients stands out — clams are mixed with ainame (a Japanese seasonal fish) during springtime, and horse meat is combined with beef, squid, and cauliflower. For all the eleven servings, the chef explains every one of them in detail.
Dining at Takumi does not only satisfy the palate through incredible flavor, but also succeeds through the delicate touch of the textures, the exquisite aromas, and the sound of sizzling over the pan. An evening spent here is a feast for all the senses.
