The family-run, Michelin-recognized restaurant is renowned for "Kyoto Chinese" — a marriage between Kyoryori (Kyoto cuisine) and Sichuan-based recipes.

In the kitchen is a father-and-son duo, who combine classic dishes beloved by decade-old regulars with the son’s affinity for fiery Sichuan flavors. This fusion results in a menu that blends tradition with innovation, from the crowd-pleasing mapo tofu to the juicy soupiness of xiaolongbao (soup dumplings).

Don’t skip the “teridon kinshi,” a Kyoto classic featuring rice topped with succulent pork and ribbons of omelet. For a taste of Sichuan heat, try the “yodaredori,” steamed chicken drizzled in a lip-tingling sauce.
