Sunano Misaki
Get your Indian curry fix with two different flavors in just one meal at this suburban Setagaya curry house.
Restaurant Details
Run by a husband and wife team who travel to India often because of their deep love for the country, this Setagaya curry house has gained a strong reputation as the real deal. This is in part because the couple also travel to the home of spice to source authentic ingredients for their shop: a humble, cozy place serving some of the best Indian-style curry in Tokyo.
They've garnered a good group of regulars who bring a book or browse their smartphones while waiting patiently, well aware of the usual waiting time before the orders are served. Only accommodating eight guests at a time, there's always a line outside waiting for their turn to dine.
Sunano Misaki is extremely crowded during lunchtime. The lunch set includes two different types of curries in one serving. The daily curries offered can differ day to day, but expect flavors like chicken and vegetables.
This local Indian curry shop in Setagaya has irregular opening hours, so be sure to check online or call in advance before making your way down to avoid the disappointment of it being shut when you arrive.
