Aladdin
High-quality French cuisine (minus the intimidation factor) at one of downtown Tokyo’s longest-running French favorites.
Restaurant Details
Located in the neighborhood of Ebisu, just a short train ride to the south of Shibuya, this restaurant can be counted among the best French restaurants in Tokyo.
Owner and chef Seiya Kawasaki began his career flirting with the avant garde, training at top restaurants around France for nine years. Later in life, he decided to cast off the often snooty and exclusive trappings of haute cuisine in favor of high-quality, soulful French cooking.
Since 1993 guests at Aladdin have been enjoying the full benefits of this down-to-earth approach, with hearty high-class meals featuring seasonal ingredients, including wild game in fall and summer truffles. These dishes can be enjoyed in either the set course omakase menu, or a la carte, meaning you don’t have to break the bank to enjoy an evening of fine food here.
The serene riverside location and classic white-tablecloth interior set the perfect mood for a romantic evening, with an excellent selection of wines to cap it off. For quality French cooking which will leave you feeling fully satisfied, Aladdin is the place to go.
