Sanrokuen is located in a traditional Japanese building that was built 150 years ago. The style of architecture is called “Gassho-zukuri,” which Hida Folk Village is known for. Lots of gassho-zukuri houses can be usually seen in areas with heavy snowfall in Japan.

Robatayaki is a very traditional and authentic style of Japanese cuisine that uses a special technique of grilling food over coals. You can savor the local speciality of Yamanashi Prefecture, hoto hotpot, alongside robatayaki grilled dishes complemented with Sanrokuen’s original sauce.

Sanrokuen's most popular course meal is called Sanroku (3,000 yen). During the course, you can enjoy fresh salads, hoto, and various robatayaki dishes such as shrimp, duck, scallops, vegetables, and more. Their hoto soup is white miso-based, and includes pumpkin, Japanese taro, carrots, Japanese green onion, and noodles with a “mochi-mochi” (chewy) hoto texture.

It is located about 500 meters away from Kawaguchiko Station.
