Nagumo
Accessible high-end dining at one of Tokyo’s best 2021 Michelin-starred traditional restaurants, with excellent seafood.
Restaurant Details
Kaiseki is a dining style which often seems steeped in formality, hidden in small, exclusive restaurants which are often invitation-only. At Nagumo, however, a fantastically priced lunch is offered which makes this refined cuisine much more widely accessible.
Dinner is a bit more pricey, but this is when guests get the full luxury treatment. The chef trained at Tankuma Kina in Kyoto, and knows the ins and outs of fine Kyo Ryori cuisine and service. His seafood dishes are particularly good, with superb sushi and sashimi.
The counter is one of the smallest in town, creating an intimate atmosphere for those watching the chef at work. If you’re not quite lucky enough to be among them, table seats and a private room also offer a comfortable space to enjoy your meal.
