Mizuki (The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto)
Relish the finest tempura dishes that reflect the four seasons of Kyoto.
Restaurant Details
Located inside the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Kyoto, Mizuki is a highly-regarded tempura restaurant that delivers the true essence of Kyoto as well as washoku, which translates to “Japanese cuisine.” Its tempura dishes are immaculate, and with the season comes a tempura course menu made up of seasonal ingredients of the freshest and highest quality.
The four seasons are of high importance to Mizuki — in summer, they serve Kyoto’s specialty dish: hamo pike conger with shredded plum. Winter calls for the Shogoin radish which is a local specialty, too. Cooked in safflower oil, Mizuki’s tempura batter creates a light and crispy layer that’s not heavy on the stomach.
Mizuki also has all-year-round dishes as well. Look out for Omi-gyu beef fillet, Kyoto duck rolls with negi leeks and the famous egg yolk tempura.
With every bite of tempura, guests are able to taste the flavors of Kyoto made by the finest chefs in all of Japan. Mizuki serves day to evening, so regardless if it’s for lunch or dinner, you’re definitely assured the authentic washoku course.
