Visit Menya Jikon for their famous ramen noodles, immersed in a savory chicken broth.

Restaurant Details

With a number of noodle shops set up around Osaka, Menya Jikon has a glowing reputation across the whole prefecture. Its specialty lies in the shoyu (soy sauce) chicken-based broth but the second-place competitor on the menu, the shio (salt) ramen, is just as good.

Due to its popularity, it often gets incredibly busy during the peak dining hours for lunch and dinner, and a queue will start forming outside of the restaurant. It moves pretty fast, so soon it'll be your turn to choose a dish by pressing a button on their vending machine menu.

Menya Jikon's most recommended dish is the shoyu ramen with three meat servings including chashu pork, duck slices, and minced chicken meatballs. A range of seafood toppings are also available, with ones including scallop, asari clams, and oysters.

Its thin-yet-flavorful broth hugs the straight noodles wonderfully, and makes every bite of Menya Jikon ramen a slurp-worthy one.
