The chef at Le Jardin Gourmand was born in Hiroshima Prefecture. He worked in Switzerland and in France, before returning to Japan. It was opened in 1990 and the restaurant has been awarded one Michelin star in 2013 and 2018.
He uses carefully selected ingredients, some of the vegetables are from local farmers and others are from his kitchen garden. Local Hiroshima beef and oysters are also available on the menu.
There are 3 kinds of omakase course meals, which are for 5,500 yen, 7,700 yen, and 13,200 yen. The first one includes 5 kinds of dishes, the second one includes 6 kinds of dishes, and the last one contains 7 kinds of dishes in total.
For dinner, there are two kinds of omakase course meals, one is for 7,700 yen and the other is for 13,200 yen. The former includes 6 kinds of dishes in total and the latter includes 7 kinds of dishes. You can change your fish dish to homard shrimp for an extra 3,300 yen.
