Kyou Seika
Taste delicious Chinese delicacies in Hamamatsu City, with a dash of Kyoto essence to season.
Restaurant Details
Founded in Hamamatsu City in Shizuoka Prefecture, Kyou Seika is the result of a fascination and appreciation for Chinese cuisine. From the Beijing-style beef to the classic dumplings, seemingly every classic Chinese dish can be ordered here, made from the finest of ingredients and using the techniques chef Shizuo Miyamoto acquired during his time at the Chinese Cooking Academy.
The twelve-course meal constantly changes throughout the year, with the use of seasonal ingredients influencing the dishes in the course, but expect the delicious classics like spring rolls, omi beef, and Beijing duck. Wash down each dish with the cup of freshly brewed oolong tea that comes with every set.
While Kyou Seika is more famously known for its authentic Chinese cuisine, it's mild fusion with Kyoto cuisine has created a unique character for the restaurant. The presentation of Chinese dishes in a kaiseki form is something you'll want to experience at least once during your time in Japan.
