Kona Monzu
Tempura / Fried Foods
Feel the soul of Osaka in Asahikawa, and enjoy okonomiyaki, kushikatsu, and cheap tasty eats using ingredients produced in Hokkaido.
Restaurant Details
In Asahikawa, Hokkaido, you can eat Osaka's famous flour-based street foods at Kona Monzu. The main menu items are okonomiyaki and kushikatsu, however, guests can also enjoy cheap eats such as Asahikawa Soy Sauce Yakisoba. Kona Monzu uses ingredients produced in Hokkaido and cooks them with the soul of Osaka.
Kona Monzu uses different ingredients depending on the season, and also has limited edition dishes as part of the menu. But you can enjoy one recommended dish all year round called Kujo Negitororo Yaki. This dish contains lots of Kyoto's Kujo green onion and long yam from Tokachi. It also uses rice flour from Asahikawa, so the texture is fluffy and chewy.
The restaurant has a retro atmosphere and serves a wide variety of drinks and alcohol. Vegetarian okonomiyaki and other vegetarian-friendly side dishes are available.
