Teppan Dining O
Enjoy premium domestic ingredients grilled on the teppan, in a laid-back space characteristic of Kansai.
Restaurant Details
Teppanyaki is usually seen as a high-class affair — except at Teppan Dining O. While certainly a special place to celebrate a birthday or other special occasion, the restaurant’s atmosphere is significantly less formal than the proverbial teppanyaki restaurant, while still being modern, contemporary and clean.
A number of teppanyaki courses and a la carte dishes both are available at the restaurant, featuring a staggering number of ingredients. From local vegetables to seafood to wagyu beef, Teppan Dining O’s expert chefs grill them up before guests’ eyes with flair, the clatter of spatulas on the grill and sizzle of cooking ingredients adding to the liveliness of the atmosphere.
But it’s not teppanyaki in Osaka without okonomiyaki. As is expected from an Osaka restaurant, the okonomiyaki is flawless, packed generously with ingredients — like high-quality Nichinan Mochi pork from Miyazaki Prefecture and local Kyoto vegetables — and grilled to crispy perfection on the outside, while still fluffy on the inside. It’s no surprise that this Kansai treat rivals even the famed kuroge wagyu beef steak (sourced from Kyushu) for popularity at Teppan Dining O.
English and Chinese menus are available as well, so visitors from overseas can make additional orders at the restaurant with ease. And with eight varieties of lemon sour on offer — using Setoda lemons from the Seto Inland Sea — guests will definitely be flagging down the staff multiple times.
The most premium offering at Teppan Dining O, this course offers a Kobe wagyu beef steak — one of the three “great beefs” of Japan — as well as shrimp tempura, grilled vegetables and the restaurant’s signature okonomiyaki.

As the name suggests, this is one of the most popular options for teppanyaki in Teppan Dining O, with a kuroge wagyu black beef steak, seafood and grilled vegetables. But no course meal at Teppan Dining O is complete without the signature okonomiyaki.

This Kansai series of restaurants elevates the humble okonomiyaki — a Kansai street food staple — far above its origins, by serving it alongside high-class ingredients like top-quality kuroge wagyu black beef and live abalone.
Okonomiyaki Koei Ousaka-en
The original Okonomiyaki Ousaka-en was forced to shut its doors, but the popular horumon-yaki chain Koei adopted it into the fold, giving it new life. It now delights dozens of visitors to Seibu-Shinjuku a day with grilled Kansai staples.
