Share smiles and laughter over creative Japanese cuisine prepared by Chef Ohmi, who aspires to share his love of cooking with others in Toyama.

Restaurant Details

After a successful career in management, Chef Kiyoshi Ohmi was at a crossroads. He’d worked at the Four Seasons for a long time but wanted a change; the chance to interact directly with people, and share his love of cooking. So in 2021, he decided to open his own creative Japanese kappo cuisine restaurant, Kappo KUON.

Chef Kiyoshi Ohmi’s goal is to bring people together, and enjoy time away from regular life at the dining table. According to Kappo KUON's official website, their mission is to make guests feel at home with "gastronomy, sake, and stories." The menu is irregular, created every day by the chef, considering seasonal ingredients and the customer's preference.

Stimulating creative dishes are served as a part of a course menu, which are available at three different price ranges. Dishes include high-quality ingredients like A5 rank wagyu beef, caviar, and sea urchin. The food is presented beautifully on custom-made artisanal dishware.
