Fujii
A kaiseki restaurant which exemplifies the philosophical nature of Kyoto cuisine, situated near the aptly-named Philosopher's Path.
Restaurant Details
This traditional Kyoto restaurant is situated near Honen-In Temple, and the serene Philosopher’s Path walking route which snakes up the east side of Kyoto — one of the best cherry blossom walks in the city.
The quiet and contemplative atmosphere in the air continues through the door of the restaurant, into a bright, comfortable space with light spilling in through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Here you can enjoy the best of the rivers, seas, mountains, and fields of the region.
The dishes on the omakase menu change throughout the year, but you can expect signature dishes like sea bream with miso over rice, sashimi, clam tempura soup, and chargrilled meat and fish.
