Initially located in the busy city of Tokyo, this Italian restaurant shifted to Karuizawa, a resort town surrounded by beautiful nature. Encircled by beautiful trees and gardens, a dining experience at Fogliolina della Porta Fortuna is bound to be peaceful and full of serenity.
This was the driving factor behind the move — owner-chef Kobayashi Koji wanted to get rid of the distractions of the city so guests can focus on what's around them, especially what's on the plate in front of them.
Limited to only one seating per day — that's quite a small number of diners, seeing as there's only six seats at the counter and no other rooms — reservations can be booked up months ahead. Be sure to secure your table at Fogliolina della Porta Fortuna early to enjoy artistic Italian cuisine bursting with natural vitality and originality.
