Chi-Fu
Revolutionary Chinese cuisine that still holds on to its traditional roots.
Restaurant Details
It's not easy to maintain tradition while pioneering a new approach. Chi-Fu manages to find the right balance between the original essence of Chinese cuisine and producing groundbreaking creations. This concept is represented in the restaurant's name as well — a combination of Chinois-Fume, which means the fragrance of China, and Chinois-Futurism, which means the future of China, to make Chi-Fu.
This revolutionary Chinese restaurant is located a short walk from Kitashinchi Station. The head chef finds ways to subtly change existing dishes, such as traditional shark fin soup which is usually made of soup stock of dried seafood, but the chef of Chi-Fu swapped it out for unusual ingredients like Jinhua Chinese ham and shiitake mushrooms.
These adventurous dishes are what keep the customers on their toes, not knowing what to expect from the next dish in their course menu. Chi-Fu stands out from other Chinese eateries with their pleasantly surprising modern twists on traditional dishes.
