Restaurant Details

Here at Busuitei, a traditional Japanese inn, the dishes use various kinds of local ingredients and herbs. Their dishes will make you change your mind about medicinal herbs being bitter and astringent. These herb dishes use wild plants that have numerous beneficial effects and are abundant in minerals.

In Hida city, there are more than 250 kinds of medicinal herbs grown. The chefs prepare the dishes with the guidance of the doctor of pharmacy so that people can enjoy the health benefits of these local plants.

For lunch, Busuitei offers 4 different kinds of set meals: medicinal herb lunch (2,750 yen), mini kaiseki (3,300 yen), seasonal kaiseki, and medicinal herb kaiseki (5,500 yen, 8,800 yen, or 11,000 yen).

For dinner, the seasonal kaiseki and the medicinal herb kaiseki are available. They also have specialty Hida beef dishes which come with local wagyu beef (150g) and other 7 different kinds of dishes. You can choose how your Hida beef is prepared: stone-grilled, as shabu-shabu, or in sukiyaki hot pot.
