Led by Nagai-san, a matcha master (yes, that’s an official title), immerse yourself in a cultural journey that combines education, hands-on activities, and the flavors of exquisite matcha and traditional Japanese sweets.

Wagashi-Making Workshop: Step into the world of Wagashi, Japanese confectionery. During this workshop, you'll have the opportunity to create your very own Wagashi, specifically Nerikiri with intricate flower designs. Nagai-san will guide you through the process, offering insights into the history, various types, and seasonal significance of these delightful treats.


Tea Ceremony (Sado): Witness an authentic Japanese tea ceremony (sado) demonstration led by Nagai-san, a certified matcha master. The Japanese tea ceremony is a highly ritualized practice focused on matcha green tea preparation. This demonstration embodies Japanese culture's simplicity, mindfulness, and respect for tranquility.


Let’s Make Matcha: Next, delve into the art of making matcha, the finely powdered green tea known for its rich flavor and cultural significance. Learn the meticulous steps of preparing usucha, a mild type of matcha. You’ll learn about the nuances of the tea, along with etiquette, tea history, and fascinating insights.


Enjoy Freshly Made Wagashi and Matcha: The artful presentation of wagashi complements the bitterness of freshly whisked matcha, creating a harmonious balance of flavors.   • If you are more than 15 minutes late, the activity will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund.
