Your host–KT–was born and raised in Tokyo’s Meguro ward. In her spare time, KT relished spending time outdoors, finding joy in strolling around her local neighborhood on foot and by bicycle. This beloved pastime inspired her to explore her hometown in search of cute cafes, unique restaurants, tasty treats, and beyond. KT has curated her favorite spots in town and is eager to share them with you!
During this nostalgic neighborhood tour, you’ll hop on the Tokyu Setagaya Line tram, which first appeared on the tracks in 1925. It upholds its retro interior and will transport you back in time as soon as you jump on board. You’ll stop by your host's favorite cafe, fill up on street foods and sweet snacks, tour the Setagaya area, then visit a special temple that’ll have you purring for more.
Gotokuji Temple–also known as the Maneki-Neko or Lucky Cat Temple–is a hidden gem gaining cult-like popularity among feline-loving travelers. This charming temple is known for its beckoning cat statues that are thought to bring good luck and fortune to visitors.
