Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the touristy part of Tokyo and head to the lesser-known Oji area, where you’ll indulge in delicious food and drinks in three eateries in this sake and food pairing tour with a sake sommelier.
Experience flow:
-Learn an overview about sake
-Enjoy a sake food pairing at the first izakaya bar (about an hour)
-Walk for about 5 minutes to the second izakaya, and choose two dishes among five options
-Try A5 wagyu sushi
-Walk for about 5 minutes to the third eatery and try their famous mini ramen bowl
Your guide is a certified sake sommelier who owns several restaurants in Japan. Together you’ll visit two izakayas and a ramen restaurant within short walking distance. At the first one, your guide will teach you how to pair Japanese sake with several Japanese dishes. You’ll learn what flavors complement each other best, the nuances of each kind of sake, and how to create the perfect sake pairing.
Next, you’ll hop over to your second stop and feast on some izakaya dishes and A5 Wagyu beef sushi at a local spot. You'll then cap off your adventure with a tasty mini ramen bowl of your choice between shio (salty broth), shoyu (soy sauce broth), tonkotsu (pork bone broth), or mazesoba (dry ramen) in another local shop.
