Experience Details

Take a historical tour of Osaka featuring key cultural districts, landmarks, shopping streets, and food (of course). Explore key areas:Shinsekai, Tsuruhashi, Kyobashi, and Tenma. Feast on Osaka delicacies like kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers), yakiniku (grilled meat), and sushi, then end with a clink at a craft beer brewery.

Your journey begins at the historic Shinsekai (“new world” in Japanese) district, which opened in 1912 as a modern food, culture, and entertainment precinct. Here, you’ll explore the colorful streets and try kushikatsu; a deep-fried skewer delicacy born in Osaka during the late 1920s.

Venture over to the Tsuruhashi district–home to Japan’s largest Korean community–to discover the post-war connections and history of Osaka. Roam the busy local food market and feast on yakiniku (grilled meat); a fusion of Japanese and Korean cuisine.

Then, explore Kyobashi, an area with old-world charm renowned for its proximity to Osaka Castle. Embrace tradition in this historic area with a sushi pitstop! Fill up on a sushi set paired with a choice of beer, sake, or soft drink.

Next, take a journey back in time in Tenma, known as the historic epicenter for food enthusiasts. Named after "Tenjin" or "Tenmangu," the spirit of knowledge and study, Tenma invites you to traverse the famous Tenjinbashi-Suji Shopping Street (one of Japan's longest shopping streets). Discover a hidden museum that transports you to Edo-period Osaka, allowing you to wander through centuries-old narrow streets and unravel the city's intriguing mysteries and stories.

Pass the finish line with a cold one at an authentic Japanese craft beer brewery! Visit a local bar serving craft beer from Minoh, a charming town in northern Osaka renowned for brewing delectable craft beers celebrated across Japan.
