Experience Details
Upon mention of Osaka, what first comes to mind are the neon lights of Dotonbori, the sizzle of octopus dumplings at street food stalls or the futuristic trains that cross through the city. But just a short distance from the main tourist circuit, a coastal area called Kishiwada offers a green respite away from the crowds. Here, you can sample authentic traditions and history.
Behind the Kishiwada Castle, you’ll find Gofuso Garden, where the teahouse of the former lords of the castle is located. This tranquil and scenic garden incorporates both traditional and modern designs. Enjoy strolling through the garden grounds at your own pace, then feast on a banquet meal consisting of 9 courses, including sashimi, grilled and boiled dishes, as well as dessert. After the meal, you'll tour the main residence with a guide to learn more about its history.
