Founded in 718, it boasts a remarkable legacy spanning over 1,300 years. As part of this unique experience, you’ll be dwelling overnight in the same room once frequented by the Japanese Imperial Family (the Enmeikaku Room, currently unavailable). This room sits in the middle of a Japanese garden, surrounded by greenery and lush views, and with a private hot spring bath for you to soak in!
Unwind in Awazu Onsen: Awazu Onsen, the Ryokan's hot spring facility, plays a central role in Hoshi Ryokan's charm. As a guest of Hoshi Ryokan, you can unwind in the therapeutic waters nearby free of charge.
Enjoy a Kaiseki Dinner and Traditional Japanese Breakfast: A seasonal kaiseki dinner will be served in your room on the first night, followed by a traditional Japanese breakfast the following morning. These meals will showcase the finest local and seasonal ingredients, harmonizing flavors, textures, and presentation.
Learn the Art of Shakyo: Shakyo, also known as "sutra copying" or "hand-copying sutras," is a traditional Buddhist practice where individuals transcribe sacred Buddhist texts by hand.
