Itinerary:

Craft: Make a colorful lampshade using noble scallops, otherwise known as Hiougi-Gai

Meal: Enjoy a feast of scallops, seafood, and local produce of Ainan Town in Ehime

Ainan Town in Ehime Prefecture is a small port town located in the southern part of Ehime Prefecture. Ainan boasts a rich maritime heritage, with fishing playing a central role in its identity. The town's proximity to the sea ensures a bountiful harvest of fresh seafood, including the striking Noble Scallop, prized for its stunning iridescence and fan-like shape. They’re a rare and valuable delicacy that can primarily only be found in Ehime.

Your experience begins with a hands-on craft session, where you'll create a colorful lampshade using Noble Scallops that you can take home with you. These shells, native to the coastal waters of Ehime, play a crucial role in the region's culinary and crafting traditions. Their distinct appearance and durability make them perfect for creating colorful lampshades, showcasing the artistic potential of these natural treasures.

Post-crafting, treat your taste buds to a seafood feast. Enjoy a delicious “morikomi ryori” spread, Noble Scallops, freshly harvested seafood, and local produce unique to Ainan Town will be served in a unique arrangement on one plate in a special dining room.
