Experience Details
A stone's throw away from Asakusa's landmarks — including Sensoji Temple, Kaminarimon Gate, and the Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center — craft an assortment of delicious and colorful sushi under the guidance of sushi chef and master Tosaka and his friendly staff in this fun sushi-making class.
First, you'll prepare sushi rice with an original vinegar blend. You'll then shape each nigiri as instructed by your friendly hosts and the step-by-step instructions on the screen. Using fresh ingredients, you'll assemble a total of 12 nigiri pieces, including tuna, salmon, shrimp and scallops (vegetarian, vegan and allergen-free options are also available upon prior request).
To complete your nigiri set, you'll make gunkan rolls (battleship rolls) featuring rice and toppings wrapped in seaweed. You'll top your four gunkan pieces with tuna mayonnaise and salmon roe.
Once your sushi meal is complete, it'll be time to savor it with a free flow of Japanese green tea, beer, sake and other drinks (soft drinks or alcoholic beverages). Dig into your creations and see how they compare to the sushi you usually enjoy!
The sushi masters guiding this experience create a welcoming environment for learners of all levels of sushi-making skill. Drawing from their extensive background, they hand-pick ingredients similar to those found at top-tier sushi restaurants to ensure the utmost freshness.
