This experience takes place in Kumano, Mie Prefecture, which is known for its delicious seafood. You will be able to get a glimpse into what makes it so famous!
This experience will take place in the early hours of the morning after a night in an arranged accommodation, starting off how a fisherman typically would. You will board a fishing boat with local fishermen and get the opportunity to observe them working on set net fishing while they commentate– you will also get the chance to scoop up fish!
After this, guests will be brought back to the port and join fishermen sorting small fish and begin preparing their catch of the day for lunch together with them. The dishes include rice, sashimi, and ryoshi-jiru, a fisherman’s soup brimming with umami from the fresh seafood.
