Traditional Edo-style tempura restaurant with seasonally-curated menus, and a decades-long reputation of impeccable service.

Restaurant Details

Located in the center of the glamorous district of Ginza, the third branch of this traditional tempura restaurant preserves the remarkable food and service of its original store at The Hilltop Hotel, which first opened in 1954.

The Edo-style tempura served is fried in the restaurant’s blend of two types of sesame oil, which not only enhances the flavors of the ingredients but also retains the freshness. The seasonal ingredients are carefully sourced from all around Japan, and the restaurant uses the traditional method of storing them in iceboxes, which best preserves the original essence of the ingredients.

The lunchtime menu features tendon and tenbara (chopped tempura over rice) bento boxes carefully curated by the chef, and the omakase (chef’s choice) dinnertime menu features an array of the day’s ingredients, presented on Kiso cypress-made trays.
