Delicious, golden shio ramen, just a short trip from Ikebukuro.
Restaurant Details
This ramen shop's name, Kintoki, can be translated as "golden time," and that's exactly what they offer. Their golden bowls of chicken-based broth are what keep the customers coming back, as well as what gets new ones traveling in from near and far.
The chef’s recommendation is the shio ramen. This salt-based bowl of noodles has clear and light soup that surprises eaters with its richness in flavors. The shiru nashi tantanmen (soupless tantanmen) is also a favorite. Some say it's like a Japanese-style pasta dish because of its soupless form.
Offering customizations like sizes and additional toppings, Kintoki is without a doubt a local's favorite ramen-ya. The store closes early if they run out of soup, so come early to be sure you'll get a bowl for yourself!
