OffReco Awo
The upper tenant of OffReco Kuro in Toyama serves massive USDA T-bone steak in a space designed to capture the architectural heritage of Japan.
Restaurant Details
On the second floor of the OffReco building, an ultra-private high-design venue that also houses the creative Japanese dining space OffReco Kuro, lies OffReco Awo. Unlike its zen-inspired sister below, OffReco Awo embraces a more rustic charm of Japanese heritage.
OffReco Awo’s dining space, designed by Hashimoto Yukio, offers views of a towering backdrop that resembles the Gassho-style thatched roofs of Gokayama. A massive, sculptural dragon-motif transom and wooden moldings welcome visitors as they step into the dining room. Set against this distinctive interior, three private rooms welcome guests for an unexpected course menu.
OffReco Awo has that standard high-class menu guests would expect at a Western steakhouse but infused with an element of Japanese sense that makes each dish a bit special. Massive USDA Prime T-bone steaks aged for 40 days hit the high-temperature oven and served alongside crusty table rolls and refreshing salads. The combination of familiar flavors with unexpected ingredients makes OffReco Awo’s impressive steak courses even more memorable.
A wide selection of regional Toyama sake, including IWA, the sake brewed by the former chef de cave of Dom Perignon, is served to compliment the delicate Japanese inspiration that makes this steak course unique.
Savor Offreco Awo’s signature prime-grade Black Angus beef, aged for 40 days. This top-tier USDA beef is grilled in a high-temperature oven and served in a generous 300-gram portion with a side dish. The full menu includes amuse-bouche, salad, soup, garlic rice, bread and dessert.
