MARUICHI BAGEL
A piping hot toasted bagel can make any morning a perfect one, and now you can enjoy them in Tokyo!
Restaurant Details
Said to be the best bagel shop in not only Tokyo but all of Japan, Maruichi Bagel is a New York bagel culture inspired eatery. The owner has brought the art of bagel-making to the streets of Shirokane Takanawa and people queue up early in the morning to get one or two for themselves.
All-year-round flavors include the plain classic, sesame, poppy, onion, cinnamon raisin, and blueberry. There is also a huge range of seasonal fillings like salmon, egg salad, almond butter, cheese, hummus, and a variety of cream cheeses with apple cinnamon and sun-dried tomatoes — it's surprising that all of them can get sold out so quickly!
Cookies and brownies are also offered at Maruichi Bagel even though the main event is the bagels. These pastries are made in-house with only the best ingredients picked out by the owner himself. For an authentic NYC-style breakfast in the capital of Japan, this shop can’t be beat.
