Soba and tempura are the highlights of this excellent restaurant, which makes their noodles from scratch.
Restaurant Details
This west Shinjuku store is an offshoot of the main branch in Kagurazaka, which is listed as Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide, signaling that it’s excellent value-for-money. That store is where the buckwheat for their soba noodles is ground fresh each day in the in-store grindstone, using only Fukushima buckwheat.
Tempura is the other highlight here, with a typical meal consisting of 10 tempura pieces chosen from a range of 22 options. You can start your imagination by taking a look at the box in which they keep their vegetable ingredients: asparagus, lotus root, maitake mushrooms, and many more. The seafood is also top-notch, with sea urchin, shrimp, and oysters all on the menu.
