Restaurant Details

Chocoholics rejoice: there’s a place in Tokyo where you can fulfill your wildest dreams (provided they are strictly chocolate cake-based, of course). Situated near Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station, the elegant exterior of the shop is the same rich color as its chocolate, with a square red sign announcing the name of the shop with a K and cocoa pod printed in gold

The Italian chocolatier company, Domorio, was so impressed by the cakes produced here that they started to produce a special variety of chocolate just for Ken’s, which the master baker now uses to make all of his chocolate treats.

It’s incredibly doubtful that you’ve ever had a chocolate cake like this before. The special Gateau du Chocolat has a crisp outside with a molten center which spills out so photogenically that you’ll want to have your camera at the ready when you cut it.

These outstanding cakes make for a perfect present for someone you care about, or just a treat for yourself. You have been working hard after all — go on, you deserve it.
