Kawada
Seize the initiative and claim your seat at this top new Tokyo kappo restaurant (before the crowds form).
Restaurant Details
Counter-style kappo dining should be on the to-do list for every serious Japanese food fanatic. Located just one minute from Ningyocho Station, Kawada is one of central Tokyo’s best places to try the cuisine.
Opened in February 2019, the restaurant is still in its infancy, however the chef has 13 years of experience at the top kappo restaurant, Iyuki, under his belt. The seasonal dishes he serves up include Matsuba crab, potatoes in a rich clam broth, lobster sashimi, and a claypot of rice to finish.
Expect the Michelin Guides to cotton on to this top-notch kappo within the next few years. It’d be best to grab your seat before then to beat the inevitable tidal wave of demand.
