Located near the train tracks, Jijii is a restaurant that’s unassuming but serves up surprisingly good food. Specializing in fresh seafood, the dishes include the usual favorites like sushi and sashimi. You can also find raw fresh oysters, uni, fish cakes, and a wide variety of rice dishes to satisfy your palate.
The restaurant has a rather diverse menu that also includes fried chicken, French fries, octopus, tempura, and broiled tofu. They also have a long list of drinks you can pair with these dishes. Included in the list of libations you can find in Jijii are Japanese beers, shochu cocktails, organic wine, and sake. You can even order whiskey and soda here.
Jijii can accommodate up to 40 people and is open for lunch and dinner, with lunch service starting at 11:30 am and ending at 2:30 pm. Dinner service begins at 5 pm and ends at 10 pm. You can also order food to go, which is open for lunch Thursday to Sunday and for dinner Tuesday to Sunday.
