BAR HOSHI
Get a taste of Japanese spring by sipping on a sweet cocktail in Tokyo’s shopping and dining center.
Restaurant Details
If you're looking for a drinking den that encompasses the essence of Japan in their drinks, then Bar Hoshi is the one to go to. On the outskirts of Ginza, this hidden gem is owned by a successful bartender, Yuuichi Hoshi, and is the birthplace of the original cocktail, Sakura Sakura, once crowned best in the world.
The signature drink of Bar Hoshi is a mildly sweet short cocktail that's inspired by the ethereal beauty of cherry blossoms in Japan. The idea behind it is that Hoshi wanted others to get a feel of his home country just from a sip of his magnificent cocktail.
There are also small bites to accompany the beverages, including the horse sashimi that’s a crowd favorite. Hoshi jumps between eight different locations, but it’s rumored that if you ask the staff to ring him up, there’s a small chance he might make his way down to let you witness the master at work yourself.
