Akasaka Kitafuku
Try every style of crab you could ever imagine, cooked so fresh that you can watch every step of the process from tank to plate.
Restaurant Details
The gigantic red king crab is one of the most valuable and delicious varieties in the world. The waters around Hokkaido are an ideal environment for the species, and that’s where this Michelin-starred Tokyo crab specialist sources theirs from.
Their crabs are stored alive to ensure maximum freshness, and diners can witness the whole transformation process from tank to plate. Expect crab served in a variety of styles, including as sashimi, grilled, boiled, and in a shabu-shabu hotpot.
A Kyoto-style box of seasonal assortments kicks things off while you wait for the main events, which are accentuated and complemented by a range of other seafood ingredients.
If you’re looking for an even more premium experience, try the golden crab set — using an even rarer variety of the species — available from fall through to spring, or the snow crab set available in winter.
The restaurant's three private rooms can be transformed into one large dining hall to accommodate large parties, making this restaurant ideal for a business event or family celebration.
