Join Chisei, a professional tea instructor, for a Japanese tea tasting, handmade tea sweets, and matcha-making experience in Tokyo! You’ll learn about Japanese tea, taste five varieties (matcha, sencha, hojicha, genmaicha, Japanese black tea), compare different varieties, enjoy Japanese tea sweets, and participate in a matcha-making experience.

Chisei, your professional tea instructor, carries a unique background as a former tea farmer deeply engaged in every aspect of tea cultivation and processing in Kyoto for six years. Having cultivated a profound understanding of Japanese tea, Chisei is now fueled by a passionate mission to share the joy and intricacies of this ancient tradition with a wider audience.


Begin the session with a refreshing today's welcome drink, setting the tone for the other teas ahead. Engage in an informative session led by Chisei, unraveling the nuances of tea tasting and exploring the distinct varieties on the agenda.


The tasting segment unfolds, allowing you to discern the differences between sencha, fukamushi-cha, kabuse-cha, hojicha, genmaicha, and Japanese black tea. Compare the color, observe the unique leaf shapes, and savor the diverse fragrances emanating from each tea variety. After this, enjoy handmade Japanese sweets and a hands-on matcha-making session using a bamboo tea whisk.
