Experience Details
Just like during last year’s hanami season, celebrations of cherry blossom season will be difficult to attend this year. But thankfully, there are still ways to connect online. During this virtual hanami in Japan, your team, club, or organization can have an online hangout while celebrating the start of springtime with a tasty box of sakura snacks and surprises!
Cherry blossom season in Japan is a truly picturesque time, with soft pink sakura gradually starting to bloom and ushering in the start of the Japanese school and work year in April. Hanami season is a time filled with hope and anticipation for a fresh beginning, as well as being a stunning time of the year to visit Japan.
During normal times, friends and families could usually be seen picnicking under the cherry blossom trees at parks across Japan for hanami parties (which literally translates to “flower viewing”). These picnics usually involve all things sakura-flavored, but the season’s significance goes beyond just admiring the cherry blossoms. It’s a time for celebrating a fresh start and hope for the future, which, now more than ever, is important to do.
This online hanami experience was created to bring people safely together in celebration of the season and the symbolic renewal that’s associated with cherry blossoms in Japan. It includes a box of delicious sakura snacks, ingredients to make a tasty hanami drink, and supplies for games. There are also a few surprises, thrown in as well!
So, join us for a fun and safe online hanami and celebrate a fresh beginning!
